| This is Maldon Hospitals twelve room low care
facility which offers a safe and secure environment with a
relaxed, home like atmosphere that is provided by enthusiastic,
qualified nursing, catering, cleaning and maintenance staff. The
Hospital has twenty-four hour nursing care provided by the
qualified nurses on duty.

| - a single bedroom with roomy ensuite and some
rooms that have an inter-linking option - a small veranda adjacent to each room - comfortable dining and lounge room areas with television, a music system and a computer - a choice of menu is made available |

| - a doctors clinic that is on site - Allied Health services such as Podiatry, Physiotherapy and Counselling are also available on site - a dynamic activities program coordinated by a qualified provider, promoting group and one to one activities with regular outings around the area - Tai-Chi, weight strengthening classes and other activities are held regularly on site - hairdressing services on site. - residents and their relatives are invited and encouraged to participate in their care - regular residents and relatives meetings are held - a volunteer group that gives a support service for our residents - regular visits by children from the local school and visits by musical groups - kiosk trolley and a library trolley do regular rounds, and there is shopping access to Maldon. |

| Maldon Hospital has a continuous
quality improvement program that ensures that the residents
comments and complaints are heard and acted on, and where
advocacy has a strong focus. Ageing in place is encouraged and our high care facility, Mountview Home, is also on site. Privacy and confidentiality is ensured. |

In 2006 Jessie Bowe House received three years accreditation
from the Aged Care, Standards Monitoring Agency, complying with
all forty-four expected outcomes under the four standards:
management systems; staffing and organisational development;
health and personal care; resident lifestyle; and physical
environment and safe systems. The accreditation period for
Jessie Bowe House is until June 2009.
